THE SELLING SECRETS OF MILLION POUND SALES LETTERS

THE SELLING SECRETS OF MILLION POUND SALES LETTERS

Selling anything requires you to engage in conversation with your prospective buyer. If you are trying to sell something through mail, the sales letter you send out specifies how and when you will communicate with your prospect. All successful sales pitches convey a message to the customer by creating an image in their mind. Their approach starts with a compelling need and moves into the imaginative part of sales pitching, where they provide detailed details on how their prospect will feel after purchasing your product. The “body” or “guts” of a sales letter is what you want to see. The key ingredients for a successful sales letter are: (1) Engage the reader, (2) Show him potential solutions, (3) Appeal to his conscience so he can fully appreciate the benefits of your product, and (4) Demand action from him by saying “I’m sorry; I know you can’t wait until tomorrow” — any delay in procrastinating could result in losing credibility. This is known as the “AIDA” formula, and it works. Typically, sales letters are two pages and tend to be the most successful. For the items with higher prices, they will take at least four pages to complete, either on A4 paper or folded into A3 size. If you’re writing a two-page sales letter, it’s acceptable to use an A4 sheet with both […]

Get the Most Out of Your Newsletter: Tips and Tricks

An article in a high-end British women’s magazine from last month brought back the next idea. A couple, who had a taste for the ‘yuppie‘ culture and spent their earnings with enthusiasm, were forced to return to work when both sources of income were cut short by recession. They had to search for discounts and a comprehensive budget, just as the people who lived in less privileged conditions did. They discovered a hidden aptitude for budgeting and were able to obtain satisfactory items and amenities at prices that were previously within their reach. To complete their growth plan, they planned to release a newsletter that highlighted their ideas and identified potential sources of goods or services that were not expensive. The sale is making an impact. During their second year, the couple found that most of their customers renew their subscriptions promptly after paying an annual fee for the monthly newsletter. Where else in the United States can I go? A different newsletter creator has accumulated wealth through an unconventional method. ‘Meanies’ Monthly’ is a monthly subscription service that offers tips and techniques for making money go further, rather than just budgeting. Its focus is on the budding entrepreneur known as Stupidity. How can Scrooge and other scroungers be taught how to avoid paying for a round of drinks, how family vacations are made, guests cannot drop in on the cold or have burgers, and more.
